Think I need a new baby monitor, recs please!

We have a vtech monitor and lately it's been losing its connection to the base at least 2 or 3 times a day, and when it does that it makes a beeping sound. I don't mind usually but the past couple nights it's been doing it and waking me up. It's not even that far from the baby's room, so I know it's not out of range.

Is that just something all baby monitors do, or is there something wrong with this one? We bought it new and have only been using it a little under four months. Gonna try to return it. Please tell if you have a monitor you're happy with that doesn't wake you up in the middle I the night (it's bad enough that DD does that, don't need the monitor to do it too) thanks!

Definitely Motorola. Mine is going strong after a year and a half! Never any issues about connecting to the base and we usually have it downstairs and across the house from her room!

I have the summers infant video monitor- the one where the monitor looks like an iphone. We LOVE it! We lost ours in the storm and it was literally the first thing we replaced once we settled in at my in-laws.

We have a Summer Infant Baby Touch. I love it. I had to replace it (it was less than a year old) because it stopped working but, I liked it so much I got the same one.

We have the Sony Babycall as well (without video) and had the same problem with it. I found I had to change the channel on it once every month or two because of beeping - have you tried that?

We have the summer infant one and like it so far. It has a good feature which allows you to rotate the camera in babies room.

I had that same issue with a vtech one. I hate it. It was waking me up 4-5 times a night, while my kid was sleeping soundly.

I took the motorola one out of my older kids' room and put it in the little one's room and that one works great. No complaints.
