Yeah, it's terrible what mothers get. My neighbor works for a family owned business and she didn't get any pay, just the state amount which is like $160/week

True. It's a different system.
Their taxes are quite high, but they get so much for it.

Don't quote me on this. Im not certain if Sweden is one of them - but this may be possible because they pay more in taxes.
I think I read that's why for some in other places.
Could be wrong.

It's not exactly accurate....in the UK we get 6 weeks at 90% pay, and the rest of the time, up to 9 months at a flat rate of £135 a week. Your company has to hold your job or an equivalent job for up to a year. Still s better deal than in the US but the article isn't exactly accurate.
