Would you fly to Orlando for just the weekend?
On our last Disney trip, we did not use the last day of parkhopper. Our ticket expires at the end of September 2013.
We went to Disney twice last year and DH doesn't care about wasting the 1 day ticket.
Would you fly to Orlando for just the weekend (Fri-Sunday or Fri-Mon)?

Would you fly to Orlando for just the weekend?
I would have no problem going to Orlando for a long weekend but, I wouldn't just go to use the last day left on a parkhopper, kwim?

I go to FL all the time for long weekends but not sure I would go just to use a parkhopper....depends on the airfare etc.

DH is fine with long weekend beach getaways but he has an instant negative reaction when it comes to Disney or any amusement park (Sesame, Dutch Wonderland, Busch Gardens, etc).
We always have a great time once we go but it is like pulling teeth getting DH to agree.

Debating this myself right now, but not because we have an extra day on a ticket. I would be going for my niece's birthday for a Friday to Monday. The airfare is such a large expense though, so it makes me second guess it.

With 2 kids? A flight, taxi or car rental, hotel?
For an extra ticket? That was part of a package you bought earlier? Max worth $200?
It makes zero sense.
But, heck, people go to Europe for the weekend too.

But, heck, people go to Europe for the weekend too.
Pre-kids, I used to fly to Europe for 4 day weekends.
I'm not concerned about the price. It is more the hassle of flying with the kids, car seats, etc.

Definitely! With the Magic Express the airport is so easy and the total travel time involved is well worth a a disney weekend.

Where they conference tickets? Or just regular parkhoppers...are you sure you have an extra day? I thought non expire tickets never expire. Otherwise regular park hoppers expire 14 days after 1st use. Just hate for you to plan something to find it isn't good.
If money was no object I would go maybe do 2 beach days as well as wdw. If it was say a 4 day trip sure even if wdw was only 1-2 days of it. I don't think I would go down there with kids just for one park day then immediately return.
