15 months/ Walks on knees
I have twin boys that are 15 months old. They will be 2 in October.
Twin A -- Walks on Knees. Yes, he can take a few steps here & there but prefers this to get around.
Twin B-- Is delayed. He will probably walk around 2 yrs old.
They both get early intervention P/T.
We are just all stumped as to why he won't walk on his own. His knees are starting to get caluses. Has anyone else had a situation like this?

Re: 15 months/ Walks on knees
My 16 month old twins are int the same boat. TwinA can take a few steps if prompted on her own, will walk on her knees and crawl. TwinB walks on her knees a little. This has only just started happening in the past few weeks. They both get pt through ei.

My friends DD walks on her knees at 14 months. I think its ok and he is getting PT which will keep an eye out for any concerns:)

Re: 15 months/ Walks on knees
Could it be a sensory thing? DD had sensory disorder, she was a late crawler and we wonder if that was why. Some kids don't like the feel of the carpet or floor. Her OT said it's common for them to walk or crawl late.

15 months/ Walks on knees
mine did this- he literally went from waling on his knees to full out walking - at 15 months 2 weeks
he had been walking on knees for months - not even trying to walk on his feet - I thought it had to do with in toeing but he walks fine even with his intoeing
since he started walking he gets up straight from his knees without his hands - when he started walking it was 8-10 steps then across the room like the next day
