Girls Who Delivered at St Charles
I remember when I had my DD they were pretty strict with their visiting hours, when visiting was over that was it.......everyone had to leave. But I was curious to know if they are as strict with siblings? Will they let them stay past visiting hours or is it 2-4 and 7:30 - 8:30 and that's it, no wiggle room. TIA!!

I found they were pretty strict...this was 4 years ago, but the security guard came around to move people out. And the the general visiting hours (7:30-8:30), the babies are in the nursery, so the longer people delay leaving, the longer the babies are held in the nursery.

Yea, that's when I was there too....4 yrs ago and I agree, they were very strict. But I was hoping they were maybe a little more on the lenient side with the siblings as opposed to anyone else who visits. I am guessing no but I was hoping.

I didn't find them to be more lenient with siblings, but I also wasnt looking for them to be. By 4, my dd was ready for dinner and a break, so it was a good time for her to leave.

They were strict that everyone had to go, however on the last night before we were going home, DS stayed until 8:45/9 with DH because we had to take care of something at the hospital. But I wouldn't keep DS there just to keep him there-I forget now why we went over the time limit. They will hold the babies in the nursery until everyone is gone normally.

I delivered there a few months ago an they seemed pretty strict about getting people out. DD is my first, so I didn't have other children to visit me though, so I'm not sure how they handle that. But they did make sure all the babies were in the nursery before the evening visiting hours and thy didn't let parents take them out again until all visitors were gone. But they might be more lenient about your kids visiting, especially if you're lucky enough to not have a room mate.
