Need sleep advice for a 6 month old!
My 6 month old has been sleeping through the night for the past few months.... Until a few days ago when he started waking up multiple times at night. I'm not a huge fan of crying it out, so I'm trying to figure out if anyone has any other options. It will also be hard to let him cry as he is in our room until we close on our house. Any suggestions? I think he might be teething too. Thanks! :)

My DD will be 6months on Thursday. A few weeks ago after STTN for months she started doing the same thing. I know you said you're not a fan of CIO but we did the progressive method and it worked like a charm.
It might be a growth spurt.

my 6 month old is doing the same thing! shes waking up MULTIPLE times per night and everyone is cranky. This is no way to live so we have to do something. I tried progressive cio last week one night and after the thirs check in she ended up throwing up everywhere, so that was it. I havent tried again since but we need to do something ASAP

I'm not sure it would work for us as we are sharing a room.

Re: Need sleep advice for a 6 month old!
I was always 100% against cry it out. But at 5.5 months, I also did the progressive cry it out method.
DD was doing 7-8 hour stretches at night and then stopped. starting doing only 5-6... then only 4-5... then she started waking up every 2-3 hours. NO SLEEP!!! So I had to do something. DH wanted to do cry it out, so we compromised with the checking in at intervals.
We did our bedtime routine, and then left her for 5 min, checked on her, then left her for 10 minutes, checked in on her and left her for 15... The first two nights were rough, she cried for about 30-40 minutes (however, there were so many weeks where she would cry and scream non-stop for 5 hours straight in our arms... so I think that is worse actually). (*side-note: we thought it was always gas, constipation, colic, ... it might have actually been sleep deprivation!!)
After the first two nights, now she goes to sleep fairly quickly on her own and wakes up a few times (just need to pop in the pacifier and she goes back to sleep) and she is back to doing a 6-8 hour stretch through the night.
ETA: we share a room too and it worked for us
