buy buy baby - great customer service
a few weeks ago i posted a vent about how much i hate babies r us...well i was at buy buy baby this past weekend and just wanted to share how great they are
We ordered a glider, we were told 7-10 business days for pick up and got the call on day 10. we called up to tell them what time we would be there for pickup and were told it would be ready. we arrived and DH waited inside for it for 20-25 minutes. a manager ended up helping him and so he made a comment about how he thought calling up and giving them a pickup time was supposed to help...the manager asked if we had our receipt so DH gave it to him not knowing why. The manager apologized for the delay and gave us 30% back on our credit card!

I agree, I was there this weekend for a monitor that was out of stock, and to return something without receipt. VERY easy transactions. Much less frustrating than Babies R Us..I wish it weren't so far from me.

ITA- went to the one in Manhattan this weekend and was AMAZED at the in-store customer service. Now I'm torn on whether to register with both them and BRU. There are so few nearby BBB stores so I'm not sure, but they were Sooo much better customer service wise.

I totally agree about the customer service. After hearing such great things from here and a bunch of my friends, DH and I decided we would register there. The closest one to us is in Melville/Huntington on 110, which is still a good 20 minutes from us. It was totally worth taking the time to drive out there and register with them. They were super helpful and patient and I loved it.
Later DH and I decided we would also register at Babies R Us for just a few things that BBB didn't have. When I went there to start the registry, I can't even begin to describe what a different experience it was. I'm definitely looking forward to dealing with BBB in the future.
