Southie Rules
Has anyone seen the commercial for this new show? It's starting on A&E tomorrow night
i can't even tell you how angry this makes me. I'm originally from Boston, my dad lives and works in Southie and this show looks like absolute TRASH.
They look like contrived, made up characters for one thing... and nothing about any of them even looked genuine or remotely 'southie' to me. UGH.
And don't get me started on the crappy voice overs fake Boston accent...
Now i understand some people's anger over Jersey Shore. This is such a horrible representation of that area, and i've only just seen one commercial about it!

Southie Rules
I actually want to watch this. I lived in Boston for years and have met some poeple from Southie (born and raised there) that are exactly like the commercials. I know not all that live there are like that but just like the Jersey Shore there are soem people that act like the Jersey Shore folks. All the reality shows have a certain bit of truth to them....just because they don't represent all doesn't mean they are fake.

I am from Southie and moved to Dorchester 4 yrs ago. I will not be watching this show 
Yes there are families like this there and I cringe about that but it's just a show and doesn't portray the other 2/3 of Southie which is sad and insulting.
