Anyone Have Building Block Recs?

I;m thinking, megabloks, Duplo, or the Melissa and DOug wooden blocks, or perhaps some foam blocks or cardboard...

Anyone have specific ones that their kiddos love/?

Also, do the Lego/megabloks serve the same purpose as the other types of blocks or would DD benefit from both?

My DD use to love the cardboard blocks and the mega blocks. We got a lot of use out of them too.........didn't pack them away until she was like 3.5 because she was still so into them.

These... hands-down. DD has wooden blocks and mega blocks but THESE she plays with, I think they're easier because they stick together well

My son has had these bristle blocks for a while and likes them a lot. He recently got some Duplo and MegaBloks sets. He loves the MegaBloks. He likes the Duplo too. Those are good quality but there really isn't much to the sets - barely any blocks to even build anything with so I personally feel like they're a waste for what they cost. You can get a pretty large bag/box of MegaBloks for fairly cheap.
