speaking of acupuncture...
when should you "start"??
I told DH i was thinking about doing it (for fertility purposes) and his response was "dont you think it's a little late?" now, this was over email and he's probably being a smart-ass, ( ) but...it made me think. is this something that i could start now and would it even be effective? I am on week 2 of BCP for my first IVF cycle.
thoughts???

Yes, i would not start anything new as some protocols throw your body off for a few weeks and some require you to take herbal medication in conjunction with the treatment. I'd say it's something that should be done at least one month prior but i'm no acupuncture expert...i would ask your RE. Good luck!

Re: speaking of acupuncture...
absolutely! Acupuncture has a cumulative effect but it def can't hurt to start now and go twice a week! Some people even JUST go around er/et.
eta: in all my experience speaking to different REs I've seen, etc.. it's 100% safe. I do not take any herbal supplements though, I JUST go for acu and I find it extremelely relaxing. I'm pregnant and still going. I actually have my next appt on thursday!

I would start now. I highly recommend Dr. Perretta at Lighthouse Wellness in East Meadow. She was instrumental in helping a number of women I know get pregnant, and I am seeing her as well.

The Dr I went to last night for the first time said you can start at any time in your cycle. They tailor your acupuncture to the point you are in your treatment, your cycle, and depending on what meds you are on. I am in the 2ww, so he only did 4 points just to calm the body. It was very relaxing!! I have a good feeling about it. Good Luck!!!
