Q for those who tried gentlease
Did anyone feel that it made their dc worse?
This is day 3 of trying the gentlease and she is more fussy/tired/cranky than normal but I know it could betotally unrelated to the switch.
How long should I give it before deciding to stick with it?

Q for those who tried gentlease
I switched both DS's early so it didn't take that long (they were a week- 10 days old) but, I heard it can take up to a week or two.
If your DD is still fussy and cranky - maybe she has a milk protein allergy and needs something more like Nutramigen or Alimentum?

Q for those who tried gentlease
She was never textbook fussy or cranky per se but would have these gas attacks and get very backed up, grunting and groaning only pooping every 2 days os so and needed lots of help to go poop. Doc said we could try gentlease but as long as she was going at all not to worry, but I could see she was always trying so hard to go. We tried gripe water and gas drops but but it didn't help. I hope I didn't mess things up by switching her.
She will be 7 weeks on Sunday

Q for those who tried gentlease
My DS was flat out gassy. You could tell my his movement and stomach. He never had a problem pooping.
I think it took a good week before I saw a big difference.

Re: Q for those who tried gentlease
A week to see progress, and then when he was still constipated, the ped. had us start adding prune juice to every bottle.

Q for those who tried gentlease
I switched AJ around 6-8 weeks I guess. Took a few weeks but I didn't just switch and hope for the best. I did a lot of massaging and bicycle kicks and extra burping etc. It was a combination of all that really helped I think. She only pooped every two days as well.

Re: Q for those who tried gentlease
We had a similar issue and switched from similac advanced to gentlease. We still had a slight issue, so he said we could add a tiny bit if prune juice and that helped!!!

Re: Q for those who tried gentlease
I put DS on Gentalease at 4 months old by accident really. He was on Enfamil Newborn and I meant to grab Infant but got Gentalease instead. I wasnt going to let it go to waste and he had no adverse reaction to it so he has been drinking it for the past 1 1/2 months.
