Thoughts on these Pumas and question.... For a wedding
Anyone have pumas for LO? DS is so particular with his shoes. He has wide feet so some shoes he hates on. He's 3. He's in my SIL's wedding and we thought pumas would be cute. Especially since no one would really notice and we'd rather he be comfy. Figured I'd get a cute pair he can also use for play or school after Both my 3.5 yr old ans 1 yr old would wear them with the tux

I think those would be adorable. My DS just wore black Converse in my SIL wedding.

Pumas run very narrow, so they are not good for wide feet.
I also think the white would really stick out with a black tuxedo. I may be in the minority but I would be really annnoyed if someone wore them in my wedding - child or not.

Thanks... Just looking around. My SIL ans her fiancé were over last weekend and they know how DS is with shoes so we all came up with it watching some video where the guy had white shoes with a tux. Maybe I'll look more for more black shoes, but I'll still stick with more comfy sneakers

Oh no... I can't open it. Btw... I agree about NB. I usually get those or Stride Rite sneakers for him. They fit the best.

If the Pumas are too narrow, try the Converse, IMO they run really big.

Look on the StrideRite website, they have black Sperry boat shoes on sale for $19.99. My kids would definitely get use out of them.

My kids both have wide feet and they both wear these Adidas sambas as their "dressy" shoes,

Thoughts on these Pumas and question.... For a wedding
I would not be happy if a child in my wedding had on sneakers. Payless makes a dress shoe in wide. I do understand the sentiment though bc when we have events I often put my two ds in slacks and button downs with all black sneakers- but I feel like there's a huge difference between being a guest at a party and actually in someone's wedding. jmo

Pumas def Run Narrow... If you want to do a cute sneaker look... maybe try Adidas shell tops. They are wider. Good Luck!

Re: Thoughts on these Pumas and question.... For a wedding
I think that the sneaker and a tux look only looks cute with black converse. I think these white pumas would not look right, in my opinion.
DS1 was in a wedding party when he was just over 2, and also particular with his shoes, I took him shopping for black dress shoes, we got a nice pair at Century 21. I think taking him shopping, and letting him pick them out helped me win the battle.
Also, I don't know how long he is going to be at the wedding, but maybe you can change him into black sneakers for the reception?
ETA: What color are the bridesmaids wearing?

Re: Thoughts on these Pumas and question.... For a wedding
Thanks everyone for the advise. I'll just take them to the shoe store and look for black, dressy shoes that they find comfortable and fit well.
Just an FYI... My SIL was totally fine with it too bc she knows her nephew. Maybe the white is too much, but I will look for black. It's also a black tie wedding, but I think it's different with a 1 and 3 yr old. They won't be at the reception since its late. Just for pics and walking down the aisle.

I don't see what the issue is. He's a child, a baby I doubt his feet will ever be shown in pictures and so what if they are. There are more important things to worry about. I say let him wear sneakers. i would just try my best to make sure they were black or black and white as to not be as obvious.

i agree, i actually think its cute!!! i think since he is so little it's fine, and better that he is comfortable rather than throwing a fit the day of the wedding!

I agree too - my DS is very stubborn and I think it would just be easier to put sneakers on him than fight a shoe battle.
