mommy and me type classes

I'm looking for mommy and me classes. DD is 3 months. Gymboree looks expensive any other ideas?

My library has free classes that start at 3 or 4 months. I would start there.

mommy and me type classes

I started library classes with DS at 8 months old. Since he has turned a year we have done gymnastics over the summer and a music class in the fall. We start swimming this week. I would try Music Together, DS was 16 months when we started but there were definitely babies in the class.

Music Together, they aren't cheap but definitely less than Gymbree.

Also definitely check your local library or rec. center.

Like other posters have said, I highly recommend the Music Together classes, and we also do toddler time at the library, which is free.

Re: mommy and me type classes

there is a "parent resource center" in my town which offers discounted classes... not sure how common this is but the rates seemed ok.

other than that I'm checking out some story/song time deal at my library which I know is the default suggestion

Re: mommy and me type classes

Dd and I did a class at Safety Swim when she was 5 months old. Not sure what the minimum age is but I assume about 4 months. At first she didn't really get it but by the end she was splashing and cracking up. A little pricey but I made sure to ask about special offers etc. and I planned my registration around that.

We've done gymboree, a mommy and me at a local gymnastics place, and we just signed up for music together. We did the gymboree first, but I didn't sign up again because it was so pricey and switched it out with the gym class which was cheaper and longer! She loved the gym class and I would do it again, but they switched it to a separation class and we are having a new baby and the gym place also had a preschool and nursery school so I feel like it's pretty germy. We decided to try music together this spring.

I'm in Holbrook too!

We go to the Original Mommy and Me in Patchogue. We have since my 4 year old was a baby. Now I take my 2 year old there. The program is great.
