what do you think?
When I went to pick up DD from preschool, I heard another mother talking to the teacher about potty training. My DD is 2.5 in the 2 yo program. I asked if she took my DD to the potty. She said that she hasn't asked to go. My DD never actually asks me yet (wondering when that will happen!).
The teacher simply said, "she isn't ready yet, she is still little." For some reason this really annoyed me - isn't an important part of potty training taking them to the potty often to get them used to the routine? When I take her, she always goes (at least #1).
Am I overreacting? DD is 2.5 -- shouldn't this be an important thing to do at a preschool/daycare that she attends 6 hours /day, 3days/wk? This isn't the first time I have brought this up. The last time (before Christmas) they told me they would take her. Guess they haven't! Thoughts?

Re: what do you think?
I am only going by my own experience and every child is different but neither of my kids even wanted to go near the potty at 2.5. They could tell me after they had gone, but not before, and IMO that's normal.
However, if you discussed it with her daycare and they agreed to start taking her to the potty, and they haven't, that's an issue, especially if you have already started introducing her to the potty at home.
The only thing that's important here is consistency, if she's ready at home they need to continue that at daycare. If she's not ready at home, taking her to the potty at daycare probably won't make potty training go any faster.
Are you taking her to the potty at home on a regular basis?
