Chuggington vs. Thomas the Train
Is it just me or is Chuggington such a better show but the toys aren't as good as Thomas? I wanted to get my DS something "Chuggington" for Christmas but I didn't see anything that I liked for him.

Re: Chuggington vs. Thomas the Train
Maybe it is because we already have a lot of Thomas but I think the Chuggington trains look more fun.
We only have Thomas trains. Our tracks are all generic.
The Chuggington trains also work on the wood tracks.
I plan to get DS#2 a lot of Chuggington for his bday.

Chuggington vs. Thomas the Train
I really like the Chuggington show and toys. Thomas seems more calm. DS has a chuggington track and a few trains, he's not really into trains so one small track was good for us. We have the original, smaller metal trains that don't talk. If your DC is into trains, there are more options with Thomas.

Chuggington vs. Thomas the Train
DS1 is super super into trains and he is all about Thomas. For him it's not just about the show- he has been able to name literally like 100 different train characters since he was 2. So, for him Thomas is more about learning new characters, places, and collecting (ugh, you have no idea). He will watch Chuggington, but he's not into it the way he's into Thomas- there isn't enough there imo to really have a hobby type interest. Anyway, he's turning 3 in two months, so I hope hope he sprouts some other big interests, lol bc for me it gets a little redundant for gifts etc.

Thank you for the replies. My son is not even 2 yet so he is still very young for many of the toys. I wasn't sure what the difference was.

I wouldn't hold out hope. My oldest started getting obsessed with trains when he was almost 2 and he is still obsessed at 4 and a half.
