Is it normal for a 4 month old to take one nap?

My 4 month old generally only takes 1 nap and it is only for 3 hours. He wakes up at 6 or 7 and then takes a nap around 1. He goes to sleep for the night between 8:30. - 9:30.

This is the same schedule as his older brother.

I can't believe he is always awake!!

Is this normal?

3-4 hours of naptime is normal for that age... Consider yourself lucky that you get it all at once. Mine spreads it over like 3 naps so I can hardly ever get things done!

I would say no, but if it's 3 hours then I don't think that's bad at all. DD did 3 or 4 at that age but they totaled 3-4 hours. I would love to get even 2 hours in one chunk!

To me it sounds good, but I consider myself lucky on the days I can get my two month old to nap for even an hour. She usually just takes little cat naps throughout the day so I feel like I can never get anything done and I worry she's not getting enough quality sleep. But she always wakes up after 20 or 30 minute during the day.
