Have you ever...
had someone invite themselves to a party at your home?? Were you able to stop them from coming??
This happened to me this past weekend, and me being someone that avoids conflict, just went with it despite it being a strictly "family" function and the self-invitee was not family. Well, I think the party would have gone much more smoothly without them being present.
Thoughts? (Other than the obvious one: Grow a backbone, Kris!!)

Re: Have you ever...
My problem is that I'm the same EXACT way. I avoid conflict at all possible costs. It's very difficult for me to say no to people. DH has been helping me with being a bit more "mean", but it's so hard!

Re: Have you ever...
Well, that was really an error on my part... my DH thought I wanted them to be there so he did not speak up.
(we need a "doh" emoticon)
