Sorry to invade your board. I was just wondering, when you took a HPT did you do it with your DH or by yourself? I am debating whether or not I should surprise DH or get the results together?

I actually took the first one in front of him...we got a BFN, …so then after a few more days when I didn’t quite feel right, I bought another test...he had been so disappointed at the BFN that I thought that IF this was one positive, he would def. be in for a nice surprise…that one I did on my one came up BFP and he was so excited he cried (2nd time I’d seen him shed a tear since we were together, lol). It was a nice christmas present!!

I took a one each morning a few days in a row but they were very light so I showed him and we didn't know. Then I took one and it was definite so I told him then. He wasn't standing next to me or anything. I would surprise him! Good luck!

The first one, I took with him, and it was negative. The second one, he was on the computer, and on a whim, when I was already in the bathroom, I peed on the second test, and voila! A positive test. So a little from column A, a little from column B

He wasn't home. I wasn't expecting a +, I wanted to take one before I went on antibiotics because I was sick.

I took it in secret - we had a lot of trouble conceiving so I didn't want him to be disappointed with a BFN. When it was BFP, I wrapped the test up and gave it to him as a "present?" He felt it and thought it was a tampon and I was trying to tell him I got my period - too funny. When he opened it he just stared at the "pregnant" word forever, kind of not understanding or believing that it could be true. It was great.

I took it because I was seeing my RE, and I wanted to be prepared for a BFN when the doctor called....DH didn't know and was sleeping. Well...lo and behold, it came up "pregnant" and I was freaking out...I ran upstairs and woke up DH and said do you see what I see? LOL...then, I ran over to the RE's office (without an appointment) and told them I was supposed to come in for a BETA that day. They couldn't find my name on the schedule, but they did it anyway They called me later and told me it was positive....then, I had to go back to the RE after a few days to have the BETA again...and even after that I took 2 more HPT's because I still didn't believe it

DH took my cousin to the airport that night and I was bored and anxious because we were kinda tring so I took a test thinking it would a BFN. Well when I saw Pregnant I nearly fainted. I took 2 more and the dog was looking at me like I was nuts. When dh came home I told him I wanted to go to Friday's for dinner he said ok. We sit down place our order and I tell him I have a present. He closes his eyes and I put it under a napkin. When he looked at it he didnt know what it was because I ran out of the Pregnant tests and had to show him one with two lines. So I told him it was a pregnancy test and he finally put 2 and 2 together. That was August 12, 2005 and on April 12th 2006 I went into labor and had DS the next morning.

Not only did I do it alone, but I kept the secret like 3 days so I could tell him on Christmas day!

I did it at the crack of dawn one morning because I couldn't sleep and woke him up after I got 3 BFP's!!!

I did it alone b/c I just wanted to see eventhough I didn't think it would actually happen. I took it and forgot about it for a few mins. I went back and saw the BFP and called him in to look at it. We both didn't believe it so he went to buy more tests and of course they were all BFP.
