The other day I washed towels and put them in the dryer for 60 minutes... When I went in to get them the next morning they were soaking wet and now they smell Chat Icon So I have to re wash them... BUT theres stuff in the dryer now that after 60 minutes is STILL WET! Just think of what the electric bill will be like Chat Icon

Its one thing after another I guess... Welcome to Homeownership

Re: UGH...

Check your dryer vent line - if it is cloggged from lint - the dryer does not work well

-may want to have the line blown out - there ways to use a leaf blower to clean the line

Re: UGH...

sounds like the heating element. It isnt that expensive to replace. My mom's dryer is 30+ yrs old (it was there when they got the house 31yrs ago) and they have replaced that 2x that I know of not that expensive.

it's def the heating element. I remember doing a load of wash when I lived at home with my parents and after an hour, the clothes weren't even warm let alone dry.
