Halloween rescheduled for today?

We have been in Lindenhurst at my parent's house doing cleanup every single day since the storm. They live about 10 houses from the water and we are moving them out of their house, its destroyed. When I am not doing that, once it gets dark, I've been trying to volunteer otherwise with helping other friends and family, and then working on all the FEMA stuff, making calls for them, trying to find them temporary housing, etc etc. Like a lot of people in my area/ LI, I really need a dose of 'normalcy'.

I heard halloween was re-scheduled for today. Does anyone know of any events or places or any info whatsoever? I just want to put my son in his costume- he's 10 months and its his first halloween and I custom made his costume, along with mama and papa costumes to match. It seems so trite right now but I was thinking when hubby got home from work today (his first day back) we'd put on our costumes and take a few pics and see if anything was going on.

I don't think so.
My older DS just had his school parade today because they were closed all week -- but I brought my two younger DCs in costume just because we weren't able to go trick or treating on Weds.
I say dress your LO up, take pics, and do a candy hunt in your yard....
