Layway

I heard about Layaway for christmas at Walmart- has anyone used this? How does it work and would you do it again? TIA

I don't know about Walmart. I did it at TRU. If you do it before Oct. 31 they waive the $5 fee. They ask you for a certain amount up front. I put 370 dollars worth of toys on layaway I think they ask for 50 something down. I choose to put 1/2 down. Than there are 2 more installments due one in nov sometimes and than one of Dec 16 tO pick up the layaway.

oh thats even better! I thought Walmart was the only one who did it. Okay so you just head to the store- pick out the gifts and head to the layway desk?

my family grew up on layaway. LOL best part was if we couldn't afford it we got all of not most of the money back. Sometimes bad things happen.

My dad would let us choose one or two of the toys then the rest would be sent back out into the stock and what we'd paid in we used against the items we kept. Worked great for us way back then so we always knew we'd get that toy before it sold out!
