Is playdough appropriate for a 2 yr old?

Dd will be 2 in dec. Is playdough appropriate at this age? What do they do with it? Are there accessories to buy that kids that age enjoy playing with?

DD is 18 months old and loves play dough.
I make my own though.
It's easy to make!
No accessories. We use whatever we have (spoons, bowls, cookie cutters)

DD just turned 3, but received the cake maker and the princess set for her birthday. She loves both of them. I think it depends if your DC likes to put things into her mouth whether or not it is appropriate.

Anthony loves to play with playdough!!!
He just likes to squish it in his hands. I have to buy the accessories bc I'm sure he will love it.

Absolutely - DS has been playing since 18 months or so - loves just squishing it, uses plastic cookie cutters. Now he makes pretend pizza - have fun!

DD is 15 months and plays with it. She is still a bit young, but it keeps her attention for a little while. We have homemade playdough

My 18m old LOVES playdoh.

DH does not like the mess. I love being able to give the kids a few containers of playdoh to entertain them for an hour.

Of course! DS just turned 2 and we introduced it to him a few months ago. We started with a simple set, came with 4 small cans and a few shape cookie cutter things. For his 2nd b-day, he got the pizza maker and loves it!!! He tried only 1 time to put it near his mouth and we stopped that real quick, he has never tried it again.

It's a great activity to do with your DC, brings such a creative side of them out and not going to lie....I love playing with it also Chat Icon
