Questions for FT/PTWM who's DC started daycare at 6-8 Weeks
DS started daycare when he was 15 mos old and was initially part time for a month, then went full time. And that was ~4 yrs ago.
I will be going back to work FT on 11/26 and (as of now) DD will be just shy of 2 mos and going to daycare FT.
When should I start her & DS (DS will be before & aftercare only) on that schedule?
Right now DS gets up between 7-8am and bus comes @ 8:38am. DD has been waking ~8-10am (depending on what times she woke during the night).
When I go back to work I'll need to leave the house by 7am. I'm figuring I'll need to be up around 6 to get me ready, then get the kids ready.
When should I start that routine? Do I just get the baby up & put her in carseat & go?
TIA!

At that age I think getting her up, quick change if needed or not then straight to daycare. She can go in her pajamas ans bring clothes with her. I say start her when work starts. You already seem to know the daycare well bc of DS so you know you're comfortable with it. I usually would only do a trial day if you really don't know the place. I know it's tough, but she'll do great and as she gets a little older you'll get into more of a routine.

My DD was 10 weeks when she started going to daycare. I never did a trial. Just got her up, changed her diaper and put her in carseat last thing before walking out the door. I sent her clothes and everything for the day. Now DD is 11 months and its more difficult! Lol. IMO, its much easier when they are little bc they honeslty dont know the difference.
