Are baby carrots safe for a four year old???
My son eats NO Veggies whatsoever despite all my efforts..anyway he told me that the kids at school have carrots and he wants to try them because they are crunchy...i'm assuming they have baby carrots.
I remember a story about how a kid choked at a daycare from baby carrots and ever since that story i never wanted to give my kids carrots...
But are they safe?

I agree. If they aren't a round shape (or close to it) they will be less of a hazzard

Could you steam them so they are a little softer to chew? Cut them length wise into 2 or 4 slices

yep I second cutting them.. but also yes, we give them to her whole, raw. She loves crunching them with her back teeth. She also eats them cooked. We made a game out of the crunching munching part. AND we dont let her put too much in her mouth, finish what you have in your mouth. in the beginning she had to show me her mouth before the next bite.
She's been eating them whole/raw since 3

This is exactly what I do. DD just turned 3. Anything that is what I call the "perfect choking shape" gets cut lengthwise. This includes baby carrots, hot dogs, grapes and cheesesticks. I might be a little crazy but it's just one of the things I"m overly cautious about.

I don't want to steam them because DS keeps saying CRUNCHY carrots. He wants the same ones the kids are bring which i assume are the baby carrots..so i guess i will just get those and cut them like everyone said...thanks!!!!
