caved and fed DS at 4am.....
Ugh I tried everything not to feed DS (6m) but he was crying for at least 1/2 hr and I already gave him some ibuprofen for teething & some water & I didn't want him to wake DD. He drank 3oz & back immediately. The other night he was back right after tylenol and water. He is teething sooooo bad. He also went to sleep probably toi late bc my sister-in-law babysat. He has mastered putting himself to sleep though at night which is good

There are some nights they may wake hungry. My DS does an he is 10 m. I can usually tell. It's a different cry.

Funny u say that bc it totally sounded like a hunger cry. I also have no clue if he ate as much food and bottle as normally bc i wasn't home. He slept till 8am at least lol

ITA. My DD is almost two, and woke up at 2am the other morning asking for waffles. (I gave her a sippy of milk instead lol). It's not caving to feed a hungry child.

I don't personally see why it's a big deal to feed an infant if they wake and want to eat at night. Maybe it's different because I EBF but my ped told me to give DD water if she woke at night and not to feed her. I never listened and let her BF when she woke. She eventually STTN, although it was after a year old. I just don't get not feeding them if they seem hungry.
eta- I don't remember exactly how old DD was when they told me not to feed her at night.
