Started protocol for FET
So here we go! Started estrace today and looking at a FET in two weeks. We have 4 frozen and I spoke with my RE about transfering all that defrosts well. I figure with 2 failed fresh cycles I may as well put back everything and hope for the best. She agreed with me. Am I crazy?

I dont think I would put back 4 frozen blasts but that is me...with my FET we put 2 back and one took...with my failed fresh we put only one back but I think all the meds had something to do with the failure...do they think your embryos have a quality issue?

My embies are not at the blast stage because they were frozen on day 3 and yes there are concerns about my embryos due to egg quality. We have had two fresh cycles transfering 2 embryos each time. The first time the embryos were considered fair and wound up being a chemical. The second they were considered good quality and only one took but turned into a m/c due to severe chromosomal abnormality. Over the past two years I have had two chemicals and two m/c all unexplained but RE thinks my eggs "act old" even though I am 37. Genetics testing found everything to be normal for both DH and I. The four frozen are one 9cell grade 2/3, one 6cell grade 2, one 6cell grade 2/3, and one 5cell grade 2/3.

Re: Started protocol for FET
Congratulations on getting started!!! Honestly... I would only put the number of embryos back that you are ok with having. If you aren't ok with having 4 babies (or aren't prepared to selectively reduce if needed), don't transfer 4 embryos... because you just NEVER KNOW......... That's just my take anyway - me - who has been in that 2% category too many times

Re: Started protocol for FET
My doc recently told me if any embryo is going to become a baby it will become one whether you put them back alone, together etc. Its just a decision of willingness to have multiples or go through additional cycles if one doesn't work out. That thought process helped my decision a bit. GL!

I plan on making this my last IVF attempt. And the odds are that only 3 of the 4 frozen will defrost properly. My RE said with the last fresh cycle that we should put back 3 based on my embryo quality but we decided to only put in two. I figured this time put the three back and we'd be lucky to have one take and blessed if it was more.
