BTDT moms of 2 or more babies/kids?

sorry this might be a dumb question but I am curious...
If you are home by yourself how do you put both children to bed?
DD 1 is 28 months old
DD 2 is 4 months old
right now we put them to bed at the same time - DH and I given them a bath together and then we each take one
However, I am curious how those who are by themselves put 2 or more children to bed by themselves when they do not share a room.
I feel DD 1 is way too young to be by herself for an extended period of time while DD 2 (who has a strict 8 pm bottle /bed time routine) is being put to bed.
So, how do you do it?

We always brought the baby in his car seat or bouncy seat into his older brother's room. He would hang out while we did books, songs, and good night. Then I took the baby to his room and put him to bed. Now that he is older, he just comes in and crawls around, plays, sometimes listens to the books. Occasionally, I do it the other way, bring my older one in the baby's room. He helps pick out which books to read to him, helps me sing to him, and kisses him goodnight. Then we go to his room.

My kids are 2.5 and 4. They've always gone to bed at the same time. I usually put the younger one down first then deal with the 4 year old coming up with the excuses of why he's not tired yet.

I put the baby to bed first while DS 1 (almost 3) watches a show. It works most of the time unless DS 1 comes to help me and then it takes forever!

My girls are similar age. DD1 is 26 months and DD2 is 4 months. Most nights I'm alone with the girls and do bath time/bed time by myself. I give dd one a bath first, bring dd2 in the bathroom with me in either her jumperoo or bouncer. I bathe dd1 get her dressed and than let her watch tv/play with toys in the livng room while I bathe dd2 in the tub in the kitchen sink. I can see dd1 from the kitchen so I can keep an eye on her. I get dd dressed in our living room. I make sure I have her clothes and diaper all ready to go because I cannot trust dd1 alone for a second. I usually read dd1 a few books, or we play for a little while before bedtime. For bedtime I leave dd2 in her swing or exercauser while I take dd1 into her room and put her to bed. She goes right into bed and I put the monitor on in her room. I leave dd2 in the living room with me until I'm ready to go to bed around 11 (her last bottle).

when #2 was a newborn, i'd bring him in ds#1's (4 1/2 years old) room while we do books, pjs, and bed.

But now #2 (9 months old) goes to bed much earlier than #1.

So #1 will come in and read books on the floor while i put #2 to bed. Or he'll watch a show downstairs. I literally throw #3 in his pjs and put him in bed so it takes all of 5 minutes at most.

DS #1 watches TV while I put DS #2 to bed. They are 3 and 1.5 year old.
