Breastmilk and Excess Lipase (aka the soapy taste)
I realized that my breast milk tastes soapy within a few hours after pumping-- after doing some online research I deduced that it is probably due to excess lipase-- DD doesnt seem to mind it and she still drinks it (its probably what she has been used to from the beggining)
Just wondering what others experience has been with this and if anyone who has had this issue has any tips from prevting this from happening?

Idk if you can prevent it, but just know your BM may not be able to be frozen. My SIL has excess lipase which caused her milk to sour when frozen and defrosted.

I haven't had this issue, but I know people who have had it. You can scald the milk before freezing it. Here are some tips:
