would this bother you?
Took my ds to the dr. he is 9 months. This was a well visit, so he was weighed and measured. the young nurse that did this stunk soooo bad of cigarette smoke, the room was consumed with it. I was kind of uncomfortable with her having my ds so close to her. and i am not one to say anything. I just want to know if i am overreacting to be kind of mad about this? My dh and i are NOT smokers.

Yes this would bother me. I took my DD to a specialist and he stunk like smoke. He came in the room and didn't even wash his stinky hands. It was so disgusting, I will never go back there again.

Im glad I am not being crazy. I just feel that if you work in a peds office, maybe you should not smoke while at work. Just my opinion.

I agree. I also tend to think it's poor practice to be smoking while trying to promote good health to your patients. It's along the same line of an obese person being a personal trainer or diet coach. Of course I have no idea what our practitioners do in their off time, and they could be chimney smokers on the weekend, but I don't want to know about it or smell it when I'm coming to your office

I would be LIVID! That would seriously make my blood boil. If I were you, I would definitely call or email and complain about it.

I guess it would bother me but smoking is legal and you really cant tell people they cant smoke. I would find another doctor.

Yes it would 100% bother me. Smoking may not be illegal but when you come into a room reeking of smoke, I feel like that is totally unprofessional. Especially in that field of work.
I remember being completely turned off by a car salesman who obviously just came in from having a cig. And that's what they all do. So for a nurse? Totally unacceptable to me.

I am not a smoker and never was but this wouldnt bother me but I am a laid back mom. I dont think my DC would be harmed by being in contact with the nurse for 2 minutes.
