spoon strike
Have any of your little ones ever gone on a spoon strike? Antonio refuses to eat anything off a spoon for the past 4-5 days. It is very difficult because he will not eat his cereal or yogurt.
He wont even open his mouth to taste what is on the spoon. He seals those little lips so tight!
Tonight for the first time i cut up pieces of pasta, chicken and peach and he ate a couple of pieces. My concern is that it is not the same amount as a jar of baby food.
Any thoughts or experiences? Thanks

Re: spoon strike
Yes so I just try to give her whatever table food she'll eat. She still drinks her bottles so I'm not stressing about it.

Re: spoon strike
Emily has been refusing baby food more and more now and I didn't even try with it today because she never takes more then one bite anyway.
I have had some sucess with feeding her with a real grown up spoon instead of her baby spoon and she seems more willing to take it until she figures it out.
For the past few days she's been eating mostly table food and I mentioned it to the doctor on Thursday and she said at Emily's age it is normal and to be expected, that we should start moving away from the baby foods. ..She is 9 months old.

Re: spoon strike
I went through this with my DD. I don't know how I came up with this solution, but, try giving him his own spoon to hold/play with. That's what I do now and while she's playing with her spoon, she doesn't even realize that I'm feeding her at the same time!

That was how we used to feed him before this ordeal. Let's see how he eats today and maybe I will call the doc tomorrow.
