Help with 3yo STTN
We coslept with our DS from the time he was born. We've tried transitioning to his bed a few times, but we always have the same problem. He stays in his bed until between 11:30-1, then cries for me. He never gets out of the bed, but cries. If I don't go in, he works himself up into hysterics. I go in & lay with him until he falls asleep again. But he inevitably wakes up one or more times until I give up & bring him in our bed so I can get some sleep.
Advice? Help!

Re: Help with 3yo STTN
Maybe gradually make your way out the door. Tell him every step in advance. "This week I will lay you with you but after Saturday, Mommy will lay on the floor next to you until you fall asleep." etc etc Each week or whatever you decide slowly move closer to the door, into the hallway, and then into your room. It's not ideal but it's all I could come up with that might not be too hard on him. I think at 3 CIO really isn't going to do it since he is sooooo used to having you. Do NOT bring him back into your bed, no matter what!
