Surrogate question
Nearly every surrogacy agency I research does not use women used in NY. I'm interested in being a surrogate, but why can't I be a surrogate in NY? I would think that any agency would want to use a healthy women with multiple successful pregnancies.

Re: Surrogate question
Surrogacy is not legal in NY unfortunately, although that is very thoughtful of you!!
ETA: I figured I'd write more now that I'm on my laptop. It is illegal to get paid to carry someone's baby in NY. For our surrogate, she was located in a state where surrogacy is legal and that is where the contract was written up. The birth was also going to take place in her home state. In NY, you cannot get paid for surrogacy and typically people only use very close family members or friends, since there's nothing actually protecting you in case you as the carrier decided to keep the baby once it's born. Not saying YOU would do that... but ya know.. hypothetically....
