any other secondary IF mom's getting comments?
There are a few people that know I am going through treatments. Very few, and some of them keep making comments like " well at least you have one child, so you should be happy." Or "I don't know why you are bothering having another. You have one, save your money" things like that.
It is driving me insane. I know how blessed I am to have a child, but people keep trying to make it out like I am selfish for wanting another.

This has been my experience as well.
IF is just as devastating the second time around and many (non-IF'ers) don't realize that.

Exactly. I get comments all the time, and although I am BEYOND grateful for my DS, I long for another. BAD.
Non-IFers will never understand.

Obviously different situation, but this reminds me of how yesterday when I was having all the lining issues with my surrogate.. I had a friend (no IF experience) say to me ... "Maybe it would be best to just adopt".
FIrst of all .. it irks me when people say "just adopt" .. like it's nothing. Not only is it a big decision, but babies aren't exactly falling out of the sky. It's a HUGE process.
Anyway, I told her if adoption was our best option, we would have done it already. It takes a lot for me to not take these comments to heart. I just keep telling myself that I may make stupid comments about something *I* know nothing about ... and wouldn't want someone to hate me because of it  Sooo .. I try to extend that same courtesy.

I would get that once in a while, though I did find most people to be sympathetic.
I think what's unknown to anyone who's not gone through secondary IF, is that our PAIN in this process is not only for ourselves, but for the child we already have (who we love more than ourselves!!). I wanted this 2nd child just as much for my daughter as I wanted it for myself. The heartache is indescribable.
