Urologist Appointment Tomorrow
After not thinking about IVF since our BFN in August, we are moving forward in our TTC journey. Tomorrow, we are going to be seeing a urologist. I am hoping the urologist can give us insight that my RE seems unable (or unwilling) to provide. The urologist is mainly affiliated with the other clinic near me so we are going to ask him about the services there (although I realize he is technically not part of the clinic).
Fingers crossed!
Somewhat related: My DH is part of a cancer listserve and one of the members insisted that ICSI bypasses all sperm issues and that the female must have severe IF issues if there is an embryo quality issue - so I will be asking about that as well. Note: all of my levels and tests have come back normal. I respond very well to meds and produce a decent number of eggs.
 I just wish it would finally work out for us. 25 months and counting.... Oh yeah and I just found out like 3 other people are pregnant!

This is 100% not true. Just because you have sperm doesn't mean the sperm is good.
I am living proof of this. I have no IF issues and our IVF failed because of embryo quality...due to sperm quality. ICSI got the egg to fertilize but does not mean that the embryos will thrive. You still need 100% of the DNA for that - half from the egg and half from the sperm.
Sorry, but reading that made me really angry.

That is exactly what I told my DH. I actually used you as an example. The urologist agreed with me and you.
In reading my previous post, I just wanted to say...I wasn't angry with you for posting that. Just that people can post such uneducated responses and cause others heartache. I didn't want you thinking that something was wrong with you, too, just b/c you were having MF issues.
I'm very glad though you had a good appt today!
