My tile floor is a mess
The contractor who did my tile floor really messed up (one of his employees). There is lippage and hollow spots on the floor (tile installed on mud). I think the main problem will be the hollow spots.
Does anyone know how long my floor will last before the tile start popping up?

Also, does anyone know if they would have to take up the mud subfloor or just the tile?

He should fix it for you before the job is finished.
I believe they would take the tile up, then level the mud floor so there aren't any hollow spots, then reinstall tile.
