Cape Style houses
Does anyone have pictures of their bedrooms in a Cape house. We decided to rent a cute little cape, but the master bedroom upstairs has me all confused. The current renters have a bed behind the door pushed up against a wall which wouldn't work for us, because DH and I will not climb over the other to get out of bed. I'm wondering if it would look silly on a wall with one non centered window.

Re: Cape Style houses
I have a ton of pics of my cape in my house album; however, we have the master br on the 1st floor so I don't know how much that will help. We couldn't fit our furniture in either of the upstairs br's, lol.

We have our bed under the window in the corner so I am up agaisnt the window. I do not crawl over DH but I do have to get out of bed on the end of the bed not the side.

Re: Cape Style houses
I'm pretty sure it's full dormered. I'm not actually sure between the difference front dormer vs full dormer.

Full dormer is dormered in front and back. Or it can be only front or only back.
Do you have slanted ceilings??? that will tell you.

Re: Cape Style houses
We have a cape with a dormer on the back, so the upstairs bedrooms aren't slanted...but the closets/eaves are. We have our bed pushed up against a wall that has no window because the headboard didn't look right against a window. Our daughter has hers pushed up against a wall....but she's 5 and not sharing the bed with anyone so climbing over isn't an issue.

We are dormered in the front only and our bed fits in the dog house perfectly.

Ahh, All these bedrooms on the first floor! We don't have any bedrooms on the first floor. They tore them out, put in a formal dinning room, large eat in kitchen, and expanded the living room. Hoping our bed fits somehow, ha.

Re: Cape Style houses
We have full slanted. Our bed is opposite the door under 2 windows. We both are able to get out.
