for those of you on #2 +
if you are giving birth at the same hospital again..do you have to register again? or should everything be on file already? (i will be giving birth at Good Sam again) thanks!

i had to fill out all of the hospital paperwork again so I assume that re-registers me.

I was pre-registered for the birth of #1 --- still had to register when I came to L&D in the middle of the night because they couldn't find me in their system.
For DS#2, I again pre-registered. Had two false alarms and had to re-register AGAIN at both of them. when I arrived at the hospital 7cm dilated, they still had to re-register me because again, I wasn't in their system.
For DS#3 I didn't bother pre-registering. Showed up at the hospital 7cm, we ditched the car at valet (kid didn't see us  ), I handed the registration lady my entire purse and said, "My name is X, my midwife is already here, this is my 3rd baby and I need to go push now." and I walked through the doors to meet my midwife. 
Poor DH had to stay there with all my bags and deal with me not being registered. it really was unbelievable.

I am pg with #3 and I had to fill out paperwork again. I had to do the same thing with DD (baby #2).

You're most likely in the system but just the way you have to update all your doctor and dental forms annually, you have to do the same for when being administered to a hospital where you were treated in the past.
