When your DC is sick...
do you sleep with them? I'm talking more about children over the age of 2.

Re: When your DC is sick...
Not usually. The only time is when throwing up is involved! I like to be able to keep it clean! And by sleeping with, I mean sleeping in the same room, not next to!! We bring the air mattress downstairs and set it next to the kitchen (we live in a colonial so the family room and kitchen connect) so if DC can't make it to the sink(my kids won't throw up in a toilet , but luckily we have a insinkerator) it's an easy clean up. DH or myself will sleep on the couch. Obviously when they were younger I slept with a bucket underneath them, because they wouldn't understand what to do!!

Re: When your DC is sick...
Depends on what they have. A cold or non serious virus no. But if my DD has the stomach flu and is waking up and getting sick - either we put her toddler mattress on the floor of our room or one of us will sleep on a mattress on their floor so that we can help them during the night. So only if they are very sick we don't do it if they have something like a cold or a little virus. I think we have only done it once or twice in several years.

It depends on the child. If they want me to sleep with them to make them feel better, YES i would, no matter what they have.
