Boy mommies!Did anyone dress their dc in a non traditonal christening suit?

Anthony will be a year old at his christening. If younger, I would have went a more traditional route with a silk romper. But I think he will look silly in that at a year.

I think I have fallen in love with Little Darlings Linen Spencer suit in the ivory color.


Do you think my grandmother will shake her head as she did when i wore a ivory/champagne gown at my wedding instead of white

I dressed my son in something similar for his christening he was 8 months old...my great aunt said something, and i told her since he was already crawling i thought pants would be better

DH and I are a fan of babies of in all white so we dressed DS in a little striped suit. Nobody said anything but its your kid, dress him how you want.

DS was 11 months. I dressed him in linen overall shorts and a linen shirt. It was HOT and a suit wouldn't have worked. We stitched blue buttons on the shirt for effect & matched it with a blue necktie!

ds wore a suit at 3 months..... it was very traditional.... There were crosses on the jacket.....

The only thing is.... is it white? I know our catholic church said its suppose to be white.
