Does this name make you think of....
We are having a tough time w. baby girls name, and one of the few we both like is Leia. DH is a Star Wars fan and thats probably why he likes it lol. I am not really a fan and dont really want her to go through life w. people thinking of princess Leia as soon as they hear her name, but I like the name itself. I mean its not like we attend conventions or anything lmao. So would you think we were star wars superfans if we named our baby Leia? is that a strange name?

Unfortunately, I think a lot of people would call her Princess, either to be cute (adults) or mean (kids).

My DH is a big fan of the movie. I asked him, and while he would think of the movie, he thinks it is a pretty name. Even though it isn't common, it doesn't sound like a "different" name. I say go for it!

would you pronounce- lee-ah or lay-ah? i have a co-worer whos daughter is leah.. i love it.. until you mentioned it, did not think of star wars.. shewill stil be called princess because people do that to children, but not due to the movie..beautiful name..
