Injectibles class at rsony
Anyone take it? Do they make you inject yourself? Taking it next Sat and I hate needles.

Injectibles class at rsony
I was scheduled to take it but I started my protocol before the class...for me the injections so far have been easy but I am only on gonal f right now

I didn't take it. DH gave me all my injections and we just read the instructions in the folder they give out.

i didnt take a class, i watched videos on youtube. ETA i did all my own injections, unless youre absolutely positive that your DH will be around for every single shot theres no way i would rely on him alone!

I did not take the class, but I do not go to that clinic. The day I started lupron and then again when I started stims, the nurse showed me how to mix the medicines (lupron, gonal f, and menopur) and the proper way to inject. When I went home, I watched a youtube video to refresh my memory. Now, it is like second nature.

I didn't take the class either. Your RE or the nurses can show you how it's done before you go ahead and do it yourself. It's really pretty simple once you get over the reality of it all... it will soon become second nature.

As for injecting yourself, I find it easier to do myself because I know when to slow down the injection. If he was doing them, I think he would inject the menopur too quickly. Plus, for this round, we have been out several times when I needed to take my shot. It would look a little odd if we both headed into the bathroom together to do it.

I took the class there. The nurse was very informative and she injected a pillow-like thing the whole time to show you. You don't have to do anything but listen and watch & ask as many questions as you like.
