prepping for insurance (if you've btdt!)
just wanted to make sure i am getting all my bases covered, since I have 9 weeks to go.. crazy!!
So far, I called my hospital plan to get pre- approved for my hospital stay. They told me to have DH call his HR department after the baby is born to get him added to our health insurance. I dropped off FMLA paperwork to my doctor and hope to pick it up next week to give to my HR department to be approved for FMLA leave. My disability provider told me to call them after the baby is born so they can report the last day worked to my HR dept.
Hoping there's nothing else I am forgetting!

Re: prepping for insurance (if you've btdt!)
I administer benefits so from doing this every time someone at my company goes out on leave I believe you're all set!! All benefit companies will add the baby right away with just a name and DOB but most will ask for the birth certificate once it has been issued. They understand it's not something that is ready right away but I find myself reminding employees more often than not to get it in once they return from leave
