Lots of questions
I am on my 3rd cycle of clomid, and I have little hope that it will work. I just moved to Cali, so after this I have to find an RE here. I have a few questions: 1) I live about 30 minutes away from Bev Hills, where there is a very highly regarded RE, but I have a 2 year old and I know I will have to go in for monitoring a lot, so I found another RE that is 5 minutes away, but she isn't rated quite as high. She is still very well regarded in her field. Which would you choose?
2) How long does it take to normally get your first appointment with an RE? I am thinking about taking the summer to just relax and have some fun before starting with an RE so I will 100% ready to take on everything. When would you call for the appointment if I wanted to start in September?
3)I have $10K lifetime coverage with my insurance, how far will that get me? I already had my HSG, and a ton of blood work done.
4) After the 3 cycles of clomid failed, what do you think the next step will be?
Thanks for answering my questions. I am trying to get a grasp of what I have ahead of me.

Re: Lots of questions
first off, to answer your questions, i would probably choose the RE closer to your home. If that RE is still highly regarded, just not on an astronimcal level like the one that is located 30 min away, then that RE is prob just as good and you can always follow up with the RE further away for another consultation along the road. For me, with a 2yr old, driving ½ each way, provided there is no traffic, for constant monitoring would not be feasible.
if you've already had your HSG and other tests done, get your records so that you can give them to your new RE so that these won't have to be done again an tap into your $10K lifetime max. Generally, they try to see you right before the beginning of a new cycle but you can get a consultation any time and figure out what the next steps will be and just take it from there on your next cycle.
depending on what prescriptions costs what, will depend on how far $10K will get you. i have doctor coverage, but no prescription coverage, so my Ovidrel (trigger shot) alone was $120 each month. My Progesterone is $175 every 10 days! I don't know how much some of these meds will cost in CA, but check different pharmacys as they do charge differently sometimes.
Don't ever say never! it sounds cliche but its true! i was on two cycles of clomid, 50mg and it did nothing for me. i was on two cycles of clomid, 100mg and nothing again. by then i had started seeing my RE and he was like can we just try one mor emonth of 150mg of clomid and i was like, fine but this is it. and that month was IT! the 150 mg worked and i was convinced it was a waste of time so don't rule anything out! If clomid doesn't work, there are so many othe rpills you can take like clomid that might work better for you or shots you can take that might stimulate your body better.

Re: Lots of questions
Thank you for your response! The more I think about it the more the 5 minute drive sounds better. Also, if my DH has to be there for any reason it is only a 20 min drive for him, where as the further one could take him almost an hour to get to with traffic.
