Acupuncture & IVF?

So this is my final IUI and if it fails I will be moving onto IVF but was wondering if it is worth to do it during an IVF cycle...I did 3 sessions during an IUI cycle but that didnt really help but I dont know if I should have been going more often than I would...I know she told me it can take several months to see the results...anyone have any experience and how often did you go?

Yes you need to go continuously for at least a few months to see results. I wouldn't judge it on three sessions. You should go at least once a week and def as much as possible around the er and et. Start now!!! For me it helped most with relaxation and my lining. My lining was the best it ever was for my ivf and I didn't do anything medically, just acu.

I started doing acu when I was approved by insurance for IVF. So... I wanna say that was in February of last year.. then did my first cycle in March (had my ER March 25). So, that just gives you an idea on timeframe for how long I did it beforehand. As you know.. it worked x3.. Whether or not it would have happened without acupuncture, who knows... but it definitely helped me stay relaxed during the cycle and made me feel like I was giving the cycle an extra boost.

I continued to do acupuncture during all my cycles after that, though unfortunately my lining never improved even with acupuncture. My lining was damaged by a d&c though, so there was literally nothing any acupuncturist or drug could do to revive it.

My last FET, Dr.B did not have hopes of it working. We almost canceled the transfer a few times that cycle even. Well, I transferred, and along with acupuncture I did get pregnant.

One thing's for sure acupuncture definitely can only help.... For me, I figured I was doing so much already in trying, that I may as well do it all and know I tried everything.

I am def looking into it and seeing which place I should go to...it really cant hurt...I made a couple of calls to see about pricing?

Do you usually go 1x a week or more? The last place I went to wanted me to go 2x a week and that is going to be rough.

I went twice a week during the cycle and right before the ER ... and then right before or after the ET. After that point you continue going once a week.

I wish they offered deals to IF patients since we already paying so much money already!!!

I did Acupunture during my last cycle. I switched acupunturist and have been doing it for this cycle. I don't know how much more I can do it since its costing my nearly $200 a week.

I added Acu after a couple of failed cycles. I did it 2x a week for over a year. Sometimes that half hr was the best rest, I ever had! I also used Chinese herbs in between and in the beginning of some cycles.
