IUI at LI IVF process

Can anyone explain how this works, process wise, at LI IVF?

Meaning...I am curious as to when (times of the day) they do sono's and the actual IUI? Are there specific times that they do the sono monitoring up to ovulation? Do you have to schedule it around when your doctor is there? What about the actual IUI - where does that take place - melviille or Lake Success? What if I am ovulating and my doctor's not in the office that day? Will they make me go to the lake success office if he's there? hope not, I live in melville!

sorry for all the questions...I'm excited/anxious to get this going! Just waiting for my first AF after miscarrying!

TIA

Re: IUI at LI IVF process

i did my injectable/IUI cycle at LIIVF and I chose to do their morning monitoring hours b/c it was convenient for me so that I could get home and then get ready for work I was usually there by 6 or 6:15 in the morning.

Everything was done in the morning, all monitoring all bloodwork and even the IUI's my DH came with me after I triggered and gave his samples in the morning.

The only time I saw my doctor was my first visit and my last visit at 6 weeks pregnant for him to release me.

The nurses and PA's did everything even the IUI.

Mostly this....I got straight to work from morning monitoring. Even though the hours are great a line usually forms before they open. I get there as close to 6 as I can even though they don't open till 6:30.

That's interesting RE: a line; I had been getting bloodwork done almost every-other day for a few weeks at the Melville office. I was getting there around 6:45 and I was typically the only one there.

Well, thanks for the head's up anyway...will keep that in mind...maybe by the time I got there everyone was done!

Re: IUI at LI IVF process

i did my monitoring during the morning hours also but at the Lake Success office because i live in Queens but the actual IUI was done in Melville. I received a call after one of the days i went for monitoring with the info of when my IUI would be. I never had longer than 20min wait during the monitoring hours. I would get there 615-620 and be out of there by 7am the latest.

My IUI was done by my RE but its not uncommon to get it done by someone else. Its all about scheduling, they do not want to miss your surge so they will not wait for your Dr.

They do all IUIs, IVFs, etc at Melville so dont worry about having to go to Lake Success for anything!
