An update on me
Not sure if anyone cares or was following my story, but I figured I would update in case.
I got pg with the paragard IUD. I had the IUD removed and three days later started to spot. My Beta was rising but not appropriately at this point as it had earlier in the week. My doctors monitored me and last week did an u/s and did not see anything in the uterus. They gave me a shot of methotrexate to stop the growth of the cells assuming that it was ectopic. I woke up Sunday in a lot of pain, called my doctor who told me to get to the ER and that we would be doing surgery that morning. I arrived at LIJ at 9 am and was in surgery by 10. The doctor laparoscopically removed my left fallopian tube. It was indeed ectopic and my tube was 6 times the normal size. Thank god for my wonderful doctor because the ER doctors wanted to send me home, but he called them and told them to move me to surgery immediately and was there within the hour. If it weren't for such great doctors it could have ruptured and been fatal.
So now I am recovering from emergency surgery on mother's day. I am pretty sure that this seals the deal for DH and I that we are done with our family. This did open up a question of if we wanted to have a third but I think we are positively done.

I was just thinking about you and came on hoping to see an update! I'm sorry that it ended this way, but I am so glad you are okay  I hope you're feeling better very soon.

I'm glad you got the medical attention you needed when it was needed most. And I am glad your minds and souls are finally at ease. I know the stress this caused.
Now you can heal both physcially and emotionally and the family unit will be stronger.

How scary. Glad to hear you are ok.
So sorry that you had to go through that.
Here you were doing the responsible thing by having an IUD and then this happens.
It really makes you think

Thanks everyone! I am feeling better, and each day is less painful.
Just wondering what birth control to use now...I can't use anything with hormones, so now I am trying to convince DH to get snipped.
