Question about shower invitation
Are you having your DH's name on the shower invitation?
My bestfriend, sister and MIL is throwing me the shower. My bestfriend has been working on the shower invitation and we both decided to leave DH's name off the invite so guests do not assume that it is a Jack and Jill shower. DH was a little upset that his name is not on the shower invite.
We're going to add his name, but if you received an invitation with both parents' to be name on the invitation would you assume its a Jack and Jill shower?
Oh i forgot to mention... DH said, "What am I just the sperm?" i have a crazy husband

My DH's name was not on my shower invite. It says:
Please join us for a shower in honor of Caroline and her future daughter.

DH's name was not on it nor have I ever seen an invite that way... I usually will look at the addressed label to see who is invited

Your husband is quite a sensitive man huh? LOL
I have never received an invite with a man's name on it. The shower is usually to honor the woman and the baby because showers are a girl thing. I know in this day and age there are jack and jill ones, I guess personally I just dont get that.
People may think its a jack and jill party if his name is on it. I might question it if I received an invitation like that. cause then I would wonder if hes going to be there. Is he going to be there with all women. Or is my husband invited? I would be kind of confused if I saw a mans name on a shower invite to be honest.

The invitation to my friend's shower only has her name and her shower is female guests only. I plan to include my DH's name on my invitations because we're having a coed shower. If I received an invitation with both names I would assume it was coed.

any time i see both names on the invite, i will assume it's a coed shower, or that both will be in attendance. either way, if he's going to be there the entire time with you and not just stop by at the end, then his name should be on it.
