Torticollis PT recs in Nassau
Can anyone rec a fantastic pediatric physical therapist in LI for torticollis?
My son is 7 months old and has a mild case of it.

Are you going through an Agency? Did your DC have an evaluation done? I work for an EI agency and have a few recommendations. FM me if you want the info. Most of our PT's only visit certain parts of the island so it would depend where you live.

Actually its quite mild ...I am a. Physician myself but my sons Dr agreed to send him when she agreed that my 7 month old cocks his head to one side very slightly. He has no motor delay, plagiocephaly and can fully rotate his head bilaterally but he simply does not keep his head straight . He is able to roll to both sides and sit up but does fall to the affected side easily. He is actually 91st percentile for height but around 60th for wieght .
I wish I had known ab pt for torticollis bc I would have taken him. I am even willing to go out of network if its someone really good...in nyc or Li ...tribeca peds my sons drs r really too lazaie fair for my taste. I tend to b more agressive .
Any leads would b very appreciated...thanks!

I FM'ed you. If there is no motor delay they might make it tough to receive services but sometimes with a DR diagnosis, it will automatically make your child eligible. You need to call the County you live in and have the child evaluated. If he/she is eligible you will be able to receive home based services for free. I can help you further tomorrow when I am at work. Just FM me that info and I will get you everything you need.

Kelly Settani at Bellmore Physical Therapy is wonderful! My son had torticollis (not severe enough to qualify for EI)
She was terrific!

She was terrific!
I agree ! She is great !! DS had a mild case too and we only had to see her a few times. I kept up with the excersizes at home pretty strictly.
