feeling much movement. Is that ok? I think every now and then that I feel those "flutters" or "bubbles popping" but I'm not sure. I have another week and 3 days until my sono.

I felt flutters at around 16 weeks (I think) for a few days constantly. then I didn't feel anything for a while. Now, for the past week or so, I feel stronger movement. I am 20 weeks.

ETS: So I think what you are feeling is pretty normal. Chat Icon

Re: 18+ weeks and still not

Oh no, please don't worry!

I didnt feel ANYTHING, not even fluttering, until 20 weeks exactly. Even at 24 weeks now, while I do feel my baby move every day more and more , I'm still not feeling those 'big kicks' like some people describe.

My doctor told me that often in a first pregnancy you don't even realize what you are feeling at first - so it's more common to not recongize any movement until 20 weeks or even later until it become more obvious..

I'm sure you'l be feeling those little taps and kicks soon! Chat Icon

Re: 18+ weeks and still not

I am 19 weeks and I don't think i've felt anything either.
sometimes I think I feel something and when I concentrate it is gone.
I'm a natural busy body- i never stay still so I'm sure I miss a lot of the movements.

Charly- I just got back from the doctor because I was worried about the same thing and we heard the heartbeat.

The Dr. said that most women (first pregnancies) don't feel anything until 20 weeks and even then it is SO faint. You might not really recognize anything until 22-23 weeks! Chat Icon

I started feeling it around this time. I probably felt it sooner but didn't know what it was. I am sure everyone is slightly different.

With my first pregnancy i felt around 16 weeks. second a week earlier. they say woman who are bigger feel it later into pregnancies. so far this has ben true since my sil and a couple friends are on the heavier side and they felt it late/later.

Re: 18+ weeks and still not

This is my second pregnancy and I am 23 weeks and feel occassional movement, but nothing like when I was pregnant with Jack. So no worries. I'm just hoping this means my baby girl will be mellow unlike Jack, aka Dennis the Menace!
