When you get "THE CALL"

I am kind of freaking out about the clinic calling me when I am at work to tell me the results of my blood test. I have had other calls with BFNs but, this is my first IVF. I have had enough breakdowns in the bathroom at work. Do you think they would leave it on my answering machine and I can check it later? Or do they usually want to speak to you in person?

I got my call about a failed IVF at work, but I was prepared for it. I had tested at home a few days before (over the weekend) and cried plenty then. By the time I got the call at work, I was just ready to move on. My dr called me personally so I was able to discuss it with him right away and figure out what to do the next time. I actually hung up feeling really optimistic. So my advice is just to test ahead of time so that you know before them.

I don;t know I am going monday morning. I don't know if i want to find out on easter sunday

Can you call your RE and tell them to leave you a voice mail? This way you can listen to it when you are ready, or with DH. Also...think of how cool it will be to have the RE or nurse telling you it's a BFP saved on your voice mail!

If your beta is in the morning they will probably have your results by late afternoon. They called me at work at like 430, but first emailed me to say they had the results and would "call to discuss".

Maybe you can ask for a v.mail or for a call after 5pm?

they wanted to speak in person..u can def test right before they call if u want to kinda prepare yourself

i hear u though bc i was a nervous wreck waiting for that call..i still am lol
